Building a custom home should be exciting, not stressful. Celebrity’s team guides you from first concept to final walkthrough, ensuring every step is seamless, every choice is yours, and every detail is built to last.

Exploration

The best way to start the process of exploring whether Celebrity is the right fit for your project is by filling our “Get Started” Questionnaire here.

After reviewing your information, we’ll follow up to clarify any additional details and schedule a Discovery Meeting. During this meeting, you’ll meet with a senior team member at our office, or your homesite, to explore your project together and determine if we’re a good fit.

Preliminary Estimate

If you choose to continue the process with Celebrity, we request a $10,000 fully refundable deposit in order to begin estimating your project.

You’ll then meet with our in-house Design Coordinator for a 2 to 3 hour session at the Celebrity Design Studio, where you’ll review finishes, features, and options for your new home to help guide an accurate preliminary estimate by establishing selection allowances. Based on your homesite, desired home size, and style preferences, we’ll provide an initial estimate for your project.

Design & Final Estimate

Once we have completed your preliminary estimate and you’re ready to move forward, we’ll sign a Preliminary Project Agreement. At this stage, an additional $40,000 deposit is collected, the total deposit of $50,000 becomes non-refundable, and proof of funds for the anticipated total project cost will need to be provided.

Next, we move into project planning. We’ll finalize your homesite and development requirements and create detailed home plans—either from the Celebrity library of curated home designs, with our in-house architect for a custom design, or with an outside architect of your choosing.

At the end of this phase, you’ll receive a comprehensive, finalized cost estimate that reflects your unique vision and style, including homesite development, engineered floorplans, and selection allowances established based on your finish, features and options preferences.

Final Selections & Construction

With final pricing approved, we’ll execute your Construction Contract that will outline the agreed upon pricing and guide every step of bringing your home to life. You’ll then work with our Design Coordinator to finalize every finish and feature, fleshing out your design allowances while following a clear selections schedule to keep decisions on track and ensure your home is completed on time.

Once drywall installation begins and all selections are finalized, we’ll provide a projected closing timeline. Your Construction Manager and Design Coordinator will guide walkthroughs at key milestones during the construction of your home to ensure every detail meets our standards and your expectations.

Closing & Warranty

Following your final walkthrough, the closing on your new home will be completed just like a traditional real estate transaction.

Your relationship with Celebrity doesn’t end after closing, however. While we strive to deliver the highest quality home, inevitably things will arise that may need to be addressed. At this point, the Celebrity Warranty Manager will be your primary point of contact for any questions or concerns.
